Wright County authorities investigate workplace death in Cokato

On November 11, 2025, the Wright County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 9-1-1 call at Advanced Process Technologies in Cokato after an adult female was found at her workstation with significant head trauma. Deputies and Cokato Ambulance personnel attempted life-saving measures, but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to initial findings, the woman died as a result of an assault by an adult male coworker using a blunt force object. The suspect, identified as David Bruce Delong, age 40 of Watkins, was taken into custody without incident by deputies. The sheriff’s office stated that "the Wright County Sheriff’s Office continues to actively investigate the incident, and Delong remains in custody."

No further details have been released as the investigation is ongoing.
