Tom Emmer, a U.S. Congressman representing Minnesota’s 6th district since 2015, has recently criticized Democratic leadership and policies in a series of posts on social media.
On November 8, 2025, Emmer posted: "Chuck Schumer is way past his prime and is desperate to hold onto his leadership position. The Democrat shutdown has zero interest in helping hardworking Americans; it is a selfish game just to score political points."
The following day, November 9, 2025, Emmer wrote: "Joe Biden BROKE our economy—President @realDonaldTrump is FIXING it FAST! Democrats want to burn TRILLIONS on woke nonsense, while @realDonaldTrump is CRUSHING gas prices, grocery bills, and energy costs! @kenmartin73 and his party need a brutal reality check!"
On November 10, 2025, he added: "Why is no one talking about this? An audit exposes chaos in Walz's office: botched receipts, fake timesheets, late vendor payments. This is on top of the over a BILLION in fraud that Walz led. The incompetence is NEXT LEVEL!"
Emmer has served as the representative for Minnesota’s 6th District since succeeding Michele Bachmann in 2015. Before joining Congress, he was a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011. Born in South Bend, Indiana in 1961 and currently residing in Delano at age 62, Emmer holds degrees from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks (BA) and William Mitchell College of Law (JD).
