Tom Emmer, U.S. Congressman representing Minnesota’s 6th district since 2015, recently shared updates on his official X account about meetings and events in Washington and his home district.
On July 23, 2025, Emmer posted: "It was great having my friend @RepRWilliams swing by the office today to present a baseball bat from the Congressional Baseball Game! https://t.co/MQCowNSvxe".
The following morning, he highlighted an event with industry leaders: "This morning, my office welcomed men and women from the defense industry for breakfast and conversation about the future of our national defense. A big thank you to all who stopped by! https://t.co/0lP6uoEMGO" (July 24, 2025).
Later that day, Emmer turned attention to a major sporting event in his district: "Excited to once again welcome some of the world’s best golfers to Minnesota’s Sixth District for the 3M Open happening at TPC Twin Cities in Blaine! https://t.co/YGwuz6ZJFl" (July 24, 2025).
Emmer has represented Minnesota's Sixth District in Congress since succeeding Michele Bachmann in 2015. Before joining Congress, he served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011. Born in South Bend, Indiana in 1961 and currently residing in Delano, Emmer holds a BA from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks and a JD from William Mitchell College of Law.
