Tom Emmer, U.S. Congressman representing Minnesota’s 6th district since 2015, has used his social media platform to sharply criticize Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and comment on federal crime policy in recent posts.
On September 4, 2025, Emmer posted a pointed critique of Governor Walz, stating: "Tim Walz ought to have his head examined because of how terrible his policies are. His failed leadership has been disastrous for Minnesota."
Later that same day, Emmer addressed President Biden's approach to public safety, writing: ".@POTUS is the law and order president. His crime crackdown in DC shows that it is possible to make America SAFE again."
Continuing his criticism of Governor Walz on September 5, 2025, Emmer added: "Clearly, Tim Walz’s hatred for President Trump overrides everything else in his brain. I hope next time Walz is 'doomscrolling,' he sees the announcement of the end of his political career."
Emmer has represented Minnesota’s 6th District in Congress since succeeding Michele Bachmann in 2015 and previously served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011. Born in South Bend, Indiana in 1961 and currently residing in Delano, Emmer holds a BA from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks and a JD from William Mitchell College of Law.
