Tom Emmer, U.S. Congressman representing Minnesota’s 6th district since 2015, posted a series of statements on social media criticizing political opponents and highlighting recent legislative actions.
On September 3, 2025, Emmer criticized Minnesota Governor Tim Walz in a post stating, "Tim Walz is a complete and total failure. If only he put as much effort into solving Minneapolis’ crime crisis as he does railing against Republicans…"
The following day, Emmer expressed support for National Guardsmen stationed in the capital city and praised the President for fulfilling promises related to public safety. In his September 4 post, he wrote: "Republicans stand with the National Guardsmen keeping our capital city SAFE. Another promise made, promise kept by @POTUS."
Later that same day, Emmer commented on recent House GOP resolutions aimed at energy policy. He stated: "By passing resolutions led by @RepFedorchak, @RepNickBegich, and @RepTroyDowning, the @HouseGOP is unleashing American energy dominance by reversing disastrous Biden-era policies that locked up our nation’s resources. Another MAGA energy win!"
Emmer has served in Congress since replacing Michele Bachmann in 2015 and previously served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011. Born in South Bend, Indiana in 1961 and currently residing in Delano, Emmer holds degrees from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks (BA) and William Mitchell College of Law (JD).
