Walter Hudson, a Minnesota state legislator, addressed issues of public safety and policy in a series of tweets posted on July 24, 2025. His posts raised questions about responses to law enforcement, the normalization of property crime, and allegations regarding legislative action on fraud prevention.

In his first tweet at 4:05 a.m., Hudson questioned motivations behind fleeing from police: "Is fleeing from law enforcement ever the right call? Some say fear justifies it."

Shortly after, at 4:13 a.m., he commented on community attitudes toward property crime: "When residents start saying broken car windows are 'just part of the cost of living,' that's a sign they've been beat down and have given up. They deserve better."

Later that morning at 4:34 a.m., Hudson critiqued what he described as inaction by Democrats in addressing fraud: "Is Minnesota's 'fraud epidemic' a feature, not a bug, of Democrat policy? The refusal to pass a bipartisan bill to root out the scum raises serious questions. I can't think of an innocent or benign explanation."

Hudson is known for representing Minnesota’s District 30A in the House of Representatives. He has previously voiced concerns about public safety and accountability within state government.

Minnesota has faced scrutiny over recent high-profile cases involving fraud schemes targeting state programs. Legislative efforts to address these issues have sometimes stalled due to partisan disagreements.
