Tom Emmer, U.S. Congressman representing Minnesota’s 6th district since 2015, posted a series of tweets on September 2, 2025, highlighting the administration's support for Minnesota agriculture and expressing gratitude for federal leadership, as well as honoring victims of a recent tragedy in Minneapolis.
On September 2, Emmer wrote, ".@EPALeeZeldin visited the Minnesota State Fair where he showed the administration’s support for Minnesota farmers and agriculture." The same day, he added his appreciation for federal efforts by stating, "Grateful to have an administration that works for Minnesotans like never before! Thank you, @POTUS!"
Later that evening, Emmer addressed a somber event: "This evening, we held a moment of silence on the House floor to honor the victims of the horrific shooting at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis. Our prayers continue to be with the families of Fletcher Merkel and Harper Moyski, as well as with all those who have been"
Emmer has served in Congress since 2015 after replacing Michele Bachmann. He previously served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011. Born in South Bend, Indiana in 1961 and currently residing in Delano, Emmer holds degrees from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks and William Mitchell College of Law.
