Tom Emmer, U.S. Congressman representing Minnesota’s 6th district since 2015, posted a series of tweets between August 31 and September 2, 2025, addressing local events, national policy, and state political issues.

On August 31, Emmer shared his experience at the state fair with Lee Zeldin, writing: "Fun day at the State Fair with @epaleezeldin! Thanks to the Trump Administration and Administrator Zeldin for being great friends to Minnesota’s agriculture community."

The following day, September 1, Emmer acknowledged Labor Day and praised recent federal policy changes: "Happy Labor Day! Thanks to President Trump’s historic trade deals and pro-worker provisions in the One Big Beautiful Bill, American industry is BOOMING again… And we’re just getting started."

On September 2, Emmer criticized Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and state Democrats regarding mental health policies: "Instead of working to address Minnesota’s mental health crisis, Tim Walz and Minnesota Democrats are ignoring it. They continue to push their radical agenda and refuse to acknowledge the serious consequences of their rhetoric and their trans refuge law."

Emmer has served in Congress since replacing Michele Bachmann in 2015. He previously held office in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011. Born in South Bend, Indiana in 1961, Emmer now lives in Delano. He holds a BA from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks (1984) and a JD from William Mitchell College of Law (1988).
