Tom Emmer, U.S. Congressman representing Minnesota’s 6th district since 2015, posted a series of messages on social media between September 1 and September 2, 2025, addressing community events and political commentary.
On September 1, Emmer shared his visit to the State Fair with friends and colleagues: "Jacquie, Bill, and I stopped by the State Fair with our friend, @leezeldin! https://t.co/l9RAzv57m1".
Later that day, he marked Labor Day with a post recognizing American workers and expressing support for former President Donald Trump: "Happy Labor Day! Today, we honor the hardworking men & women who make America great. @realDonaldTrump is fighting for YOU—bringing back jobs, boosting wages, & putting the American worker first! https://t.co/DJaC8kMGNV".
On September 2, Emmer criticized Minnesota Governor Tim Walz for comments about former President Trump’s health: ".@Tim_Walz, mocking President Trump’s health is a new low, even for you. Wishing ill on others doesn’t make you a leader—it makes you small. Minnesotans deserve better. https://t.co/6Kw05CBg5l".
Emmer has represented Minnesota's 6th District in Congress since succeeding Michele Bachmann in 2015. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011. Born in South Bend, Indiana in 1961 and currently residing in Delano at age 62, Emmer holds degrees from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks (BA) and William Mitchell College of Law (JD).
