Walter Hudson, a Minnesota state representative, has recently posted several comments on social media addressing law enforcement in schools and public discourse around race. On August 28, 2025, Hudson commented on Governor Tim Walz's decision to deploy state troopers to defend schools following previous legislative debates about the role of school resource officers. In his post, Hudson stated, "It's interesting that Walz decided to deploy state troopers to defend schools after legislative Democrats spent 2023-2024 arguing against school resource officers. It's almost as if law enforcement is a good thing. Weird, that."

The following day, on August 29, 2025, Hudson addressed reactions to his earlier commentary by writing: "No one criticizing my commentary from yesterday has made a single attempt to refute any point. It's all just impotent rage from a position of weakness. This doesn't work anymore. Emotional manipulation relying on lies of omission rather than reason is done. We're over it."

Later that same day, Hudson posted another message concerning the use of language in discussions about racism: "Calling everything 'white supermacy' dilutes its meaning and makes it harder to fight the real thing. This is the real thing."

Hudson's remarks come amid ongoing debate in Minnesota regarding the presence of law enforcement in educational settings and broader national conversations about how terms like "white supremacy" are used in political and social contexts.
