U.S. Congressman Tom Emmer, who represents Minnesota’s 6th district, posted a series of tweets on July 21, 2025 addressing crime concerns in Minnesota, immigration policy, and cryptocurrency regulation.
In a tweet published at 13:50 UTC, Emmer wrote: "Somali gangs are a real threat in Minnesota. Yet, no one in the Minnesota media is reporting on it. I spoke to the FBI and they’re taking action."
Later that day at 16:28 UTC, he addressed immigration enforcement policies: "When illegal aliens commit crimes on our soil, sanctuary cities release them back into our communities. As long as they roam free, no one is safe. Our One Big Beautiful Bill gives ICE agents the resources they need to get these dangerous individuals off our streets."
At 21:30 UTC on the same day, Emmer highlighted his participation in a public discussion about digital assets with another member of Congress: "It was great to join @RepMarkAlford’s 'Capitol Recap' to discuss the future of crypto in America. Check out our discussion here: https://t.co/5iY8vvhyi1"
