Tom Emmer, a U.S. Congressman representing Minnesota's 6th district since 2015, has recently shared his views on social media regarding various issues. Emmer, who succeeded Michele Bachmann and previously served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011, is known for his active engagement on current events.

On June 5, 2025, Emmer expressed concern over a situation involving a criminal illegal alien. He stated, "You know what really terrorizes a community? When a criminal illegal alien who killed a woman while drunk driving is let back onto the streets." He attributed the individual's release from Hennepin County to ICE and criticized the law enforcement leadership by saying it’s "a complete joke that you’re considered the 'top cop.'"

Later that day, he posted another tweet containing only a link: "https://t.co/dR9NNHTMjl". The context or content of this link was not elaborated upon in his post.

On June 6, 2025, Emmer commemorated the anniversary of D-Day with another post. He reflected on the historical significance of the event by stating, "81 years ago today, Allied soldiers stormed the beaches of Normandy to liberate Europe from the control of Nazi Germany." He emphasized remembrance for those who sacrificed their lives and highlighted their courage and conviction.

Emmer was born in South Bend, Indiana in 1961 and currently resides in Delano. He graduated from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks with a BA in 1984 and earned a JD from William Mitchell College of Law in 1988.
