Tom Emmer, a U.S. Congressman representing Minnesota’s 6th district since 2015, shared several statements on May 15, 2025, via social media. Emmer, who succeeded Michele Bachmann in Congress and previously served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011, commented on national and political matters.
On May 15, Emmer expressed support for former President Donald Trump by stating that "President Trump gave a masterclass on the Art of the Deal this week." He highlighted that significant investments are being directed towards the United States and declared America's global dominance.
Later that day, Emmer addressed remarks made by James Comey, former FBI director. He accused Comey of extreme bias against Trump and asserted that "Disgraced ex-FBI director James Comey is calling for President Trump to be murdered." Emmer criticized Comey's role in what he termed the "SHAM Russia hoax."
In another post on the same day, Emmer endorsed Andy Biggs for Arizona Governor. He described Biggs as a dedicated conservative committed to fiscal responsibility and border security. According to Emmer's statement, "Andy Biggs is a fearless conservative who has fought to cut wasteful spending..."
Emmer was born in South Bend, Indiana in 1961 and resides in Delano. He holds a BA from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks and a JD from William Mitchell College of Law.
