Tom Emmer, U.S. Congressman representing Minnesota’s 6th district since 2015, has recently shared a series of statements on social media addressing voting systems, legislative proposals for family savings, and the accomplishments of President Trump.
On August 23, 2025, Emmer commented on the state’s voting system and a political agenda: "The DFL can blame their unsecured voting system, as ironic as that is, but we all know Omar Fateh’s agenda was always doomed to fail."
Two days later, on August 25, 2025, Emmer highlighted new legislation aimed at supporting families financially: "The One Big Beautiful Bill expands 529 savings plans and contributes $1,000 into investment accounts for newborns. This is a gamechanger for families across the country."
Later that same day, he praised recent actions by President Trump: "Within seven months, President Trump has:
- Secured our borders
- Restored safety to our communities
- Reestablished America’s dominance on the world stage
And he’s just getting started."
Emmer has been active in Congress since replacing Michele Bachmann in 2015 and previously served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011. Born in South Bend, Indiana in 1961 and currently residing in Delano at age 62, Emmer holds degrees from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks (BA) and William Mitchell College of Law (JD).
