Tom Emmer, U.S. Congressman representing Minnesota’s 6th district since 2015, has recently highlighted Republican legislative efforts and economic policy impacts through a series of posts on social media.
The following day, he reiterated the significance of new legislation: "Reminder: The One Big Beautiful Bill is a GAME CHANGER for everyday Americans." (August 20).
On August 21, Emmer focused on a specific provision within the bill: "Permanent immediate expensing incentivizes businesses to invest and grow. As @PTeller and @AlexBrill_DC clearly lay out, this provision within the One Big Beautiful Bill will drive economic growth in America."
Emmer has represented Minnesota’s 6th district since succeeding Michele Bachmann in 2015. He previously served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011. Born in South Bend, Indiana in 1961, Emmer is currently 62 years old and resides in Delano. He holds a BA from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks and a JD from William Mitchell College of Law.
