Tom Emmer, U.S. Congressman representing Minnesota’s 6th district since 2015, recently highlighted the impact of Republicans’ “One Big Beautiful Bill” and expressed support for President Trump in a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter).
On August 16, 2025, Emmer wrote: "Republicans’ One Big Beautiful Bill delivers more than $12 billion to help modernize our nation's air traffic control systems. This means safer skies, fewer delays, and a better travel experience.
Glad I had the chance to stop by Anoka County-Blaine Airport this week to discuss https://t.co/Rc2hBWi6Pv"
A day later, on August 17, he addressed immigration enforcement efforts: "Earlier this year, ICE deported an illegal alien charged with killing a woman while drunk driving in Minneapolis last fall.
The One Big Beautiful Bill gives President Trump the tools he needs to continue to secure our borders and deport these criminal illegal aliens."
On August 18, Emmer posted a brief endorsement of former President Donald Trump: "President Trump is the president of PEACE. https://t.co/XDcQyv4RCQ"
Emmer has served as Minnesota’s 6th District representative since replacing Michele Bachmann in 2015. Before joining Congress, he was a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011. Born in South Bend, Indiana in 1961 and currently residing in Delano at age 62, Emmer holds degrees from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks and William Mitchell College of Law.
