Tom Emmer, U.S. Congressman representing Minnesota’s 6th district since 2015, recently highlighted the significance of manufacturing in his state and promoted legislative efforts to support the sector through a series of posts on social media.

On August 14, 2025, Emmer posted: "In Minnesota, 12% of employment is in the manufacturing sector. The One Big Beautiful Bill permanently restores policies that will create opportunities for growth and innovation for Minnesota manufacturers and their thousands of employees."

Later that day, he shared another message about a visit from fellow lawmaker Marc Molinaro: "It was great to welcome @FTAMarcMolinaro to Minnesota’s 6th District today to highlight American manufacturing at @newflyer. Our One Big Beautiful Bill will unleash American manufacturing. It's a WIN for manufacturers, their employees, and our community."

On August 15, Emmer expressed appreciation for a local sports team: "Grateful to the @Vikings for letting me stop by training camp yesterday! Skol!"

Emmer has represented Minnesota's 6th District in Congress since replacing Michele Bachmann in 2015. He previously served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011. Born in South Bend, Indiana in 1961 and currently residing in Delano, Emmer holds a BA from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks and a JD from William Mitchell College of Law.
