Tom Emmer, U.S. Congressman representing Minnesota’s 6th district since 2015, has expressed strong support for recent legislative efforts and the current administration through a series of posts on social media.
On August 3, 2025, Emmer echoed sentiments from the President in a post criticizing the Democratic Party, stating: "Thank you, Mr. President! You’re right—the Democrats have no message, no leader, and no vision. They are in total collapse!"
Later that day, he highlighted positive reactions from his constituents regarding legislative achievements: "My constituents are THRILLED with what @POTUS and the @HouseGOP have accomplished in the One Big Beautiful Bill. It contains wins for every single American."
Continuing his commentary on August 4, Emmer emphasized the financial benefits of the legislation for Minnesota families: "Thanks to the One Big Beautiful Bill, a typical family with two children in Minnesota can expect to see higher take-home pay of about $7,700 to $11,100. This bill is a WIN for Minnesota families."
Emmer succeeded Michele Bachmann in Congress and previously served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011. Born in South Bend, Indiana in 1961 and currently residing in Delano, Emmer holds a BA from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks and a JD from William Mitchell College of Law.
