Tom Emmer, U.S. Congressman representing Minnesota’s 6th district since 2015, addressed a range of issues on his Twitter account on July 30, 2025.

In one post, Emmer criticized media coverage and called for immigration enforcement, writing on July 30: "Another shameful headline from the @StarTribune. The “Wisconsin driver” is an illegal alien who killed two innocent Minnesota teens while drunk driving. @ICEgov should get this public safety threat out of our country."

Later that day, he commented on federal policy regarding cryptocurrency regulation and innovation. At 19:27 UTC, Emmer stated: ".@SecScottBessent is spot on. @POTUS has ended the Biden administration’s anti-crypto crusade and is delivering on his promise to make America the crypto capital of the world. GENIUS was only the beginning. We’re just getting started."

At 20:33 UTC, he followed up with another post supporting recent executive actions in digital asset policy: "With the White House’s release of their comprehensive report on digital assets, @POTUS’ agenda is well underway to make America THE destination for crypto innovation."

Emmer has served in Congress since replacing Michele Bachmann in 2015 and previously held office in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011. He was born in South Bend, Indiana in 1961 and currently resides in Delano. Emmer holds a BA from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks and a JD from William Mitchell College of Law.
