Tom Emmer, U.S. Congressman representing Minnesota’s 6th district since 2015, posted a series of statements on social media addressing national issues and honoring the legacy of a conservative leader.
On July 19, 2025, Emmer reflected on the passing of Ed Feulner, stating: "Ed Feulner was a pillar of America’s conservative moment. His determination and vision for a free and prosperous America paved the way for many of us. He will be greatly missed.
Jacquie and I are praying for Mr. Feulner’s friends and family as they mourn this tremendous loss."
The following day, July 20, Emmer acknowledged President Biden's action against fentanyl-related deaths: "Thank you, @POTUS, for signing the HALT Fentanyl Act into law last week.
This deadly poison has taken the lives of too many Americans. No more."
Later that same day, Emmer addressed immigration policy in Minnesota and actions by former President Trump: "Tim Walz rolled out the red carpet for criminal illegal aliens, and President Trump is sending them packing.
Thank you, @POTUS."
Emmer has served in Congress since replacing Michele Bachmann in 2015. Before his tenure in Washington D.C., he served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011. Born in South Bend, Indiana in 1961 and currently residing in Delano, Emmer earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks in 1984 before obtaining his JD from William Mitchell College of Law four years later.
