In a post from July 18, 2025, Emmer stated, "The Golden Age of Crypto is here thanks to the most pro-crypto @POTUS and congress EVER." Later that day, he shared his participation in a White House event marking new legislation: "Great to join my colleagues at the White House to celebrate @POTUS signing the GENIUS Act into law. The best is yet to come!" In a subsequent tweet posted on July 18, 2025, Emmer referenced changes in regulatory policy: "After four long years of Joe Biden and Gary Gensler’s anti-crypto crusade, a new day has finally arrived."
Emmer's remarks come amid ongoing debate over cryptocurrency regulation in the United States. He succeeded Michele Bachmann as representative for Minnesota’s 6th district in 2015 and previously served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011. Born in South Bend, Indiana in 1961 and currently residing in Delano, Emmer holds a BA from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks and a JD from William Mitchell College of Law.
