Tom Emmer, U.S. Congressman representing Minnesota’s 6th district since 2015, posted on his social media account about attending the signing of the GENIUS Act by President Donald Trump at the White House on July 18, 2025.
In a tweet earlier that day, Emmer wrote: "I’m on my way to the White House to watch President @realDonaldTrump sign the GENIUS Act into law. We’re excited to mark another PROMISE MADE, PROMISE KEPT from the most pro-crypto President and Congress in history!" (posted July 18, 2025).
Later that evening, Emmer shared his experience at the event: "It was an honor to stand with President @realdonaldtrump as he signed the Genius Act into law. We are one step closer to making America the crypto capitol of the world. The MAGA agenda continues to rack up wins, and we aren’t slowing down." (posted July 18, 2025).
In a subsequent post responding to President Trump’s remarks, Emmer added: "Thank you for the kind words @realDonaldTrump! And it’s true everyone loves Jacquie!" (posted July 18, 2025).
Emmer has been a member of Congress since replacing Michele Bachmann in 2015 and previously served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011. Born in South Bend, Indiana in 1961 and currently residing in Delano, Emmer holds a BA from University of Alaska-Fairbanks and a JD from William Mitchell College of Law.
