Tom Emmer, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Minnesota's 6th district, has been active on social media discussing recent events and achievements. His comments reflect gratitude towards law enforcement, pride in local accomplishments, and reactions to judicial decisions.

On June 16, 2025, Tom Emmer expressed his appreciation for law enforcement officers at various levels for their "relentless efforts" in capturing a suspect involved in recent crimes. He conveyed his sympathies to the Hortman and Hoffman families and called for "swift justice." "We’re incredibly grateful to our federal, state, and local law enforcement officers for their relentless efforts to capture the suspect in Saturday's horrific crimes. Our prayers remain with the Hortman and Hoffman families, and for swift justice to be served."

Two days later, on June 18, 2025, Emmer congratulated Nate Schmidt from St. Cloud, Minnesota on winning his first Stanley Cup with the Florida Panthers. He highlighted this achievement as a source of pride for Minnesota's Sixth Congressional District and the entire state. "Congratulations to St. Cloud, Minnesota native Nate Schmidt on winning his first Stanley Cup with the Florida Panthers last night. Way to make Minnesota's Sixth Congressional District and our whole state proud!"

Later that day, Emmer commented on a Supreme Court ruling regarding gender-affirming care for children. He described the decision as beneficial for America's children and aligned with common sense principles."The Supreme Court’s ruling in this case is a win for America’s children and common sense. Our children deserve to be protected from the irreversible harm of so-called 'gender-affirming care.'"

Tom Emmer has represented Minnesota's 6th District since 2015 after succeeding Michele Bachmann. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011. Born in South Bend, Indiana in 1961, Emmer graduated from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks with a BA in 1984 and earned a JD from William Mitchell College of Law in 1988.
