Tom Emmer, a U.S. Congressman representing Minnesota’s 6th district since 2015, recently took to social media to express his views on various issues. Emmer, who succeeded Michele Bachmann and previously served in the Minnesota House of Representatives, shared his opinions through a series of tweets on June 2nd and 3rd, 2025.

On June 2nd, Emmer commented on an antisemitic terror attack in Boulder. He attributed the incident to immigration policies under the current administration, stating "The suspect in the heinous antisemitic terror attack in Boulder is an illegal criminal admitted under the Biden administration. This horrific violence was preventable and is a direct consequence of allowing unvetted people into our country."

Later that day, Emmer criticized Tim Walz, Governor of Minnesota, for certain policies and statements. He tweeted "The guy who put tampons in boys bathrooms, lied about his military background, and cares more about MS-13 gang members than his own law-abiding citizens thinks he can 'bully' the President." The tweet further questioned Walz's toughness as a leader.

On June 3rd, Emmer celebrated Title IX Month by emphasizing its importance for female athletes over the past five decades. He stated "I am proud to celebrate Title IX Month, honoring 53 years of scholarships and athletic opportunities for our female athletes." Emmer expressed support for maintaining fairness in women's sports by opposing male participation.

Emmer was born in South Bend, Indiana in 1961 and resides in Delano. He holds a BA from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks and a JD from William Mitchell College of Law.
