Tom Emmer, currently serving as a U.S. Congressman for Minnesota's 6th district, has recently addressed several issues through his social media posts. With a background in law and politics, Emmer has been vocal about various legislative matters and societal concerns.

On May 16, 2025, Emmer commented on what he described as a "disgusting '8647' message" being circulated at protests against him and the President. He attributed these actions to "The Left’s endless lies," stating that such rhetoric is inspiring violence. He emphasized the need for Democrats to condemn this behavior following two assassination attempts on President Trump. "The disgusting '8647' message has been circulating at protests against me and the President.

Later that day, Emmer highlighted the importance of unity within the Republican Party to support President Trump's legislative efforts. He urged for backing of the "One, Big, Beautiful Bill," which he claims will provide substantial savings to working individuals across America. "The Republican Party must unite to get President @realdonaldtrump’s One, Big, Beautiful Bill passed."

On May 17, 2025, Emmer expressed his support for legislation aimed at providing financial relief by eliminating taxes on overtime pay for specific professions. These include law enforcement officers, nurses, and firefighters—groups he refers to as American heroes deserving of economic reward. "No tax on overtime will give these American heroes a pay raise ↓"

Emmer has represented Minnesota's 6th District since replacing Michele Bachmann in 2015 after serving in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011.
