Of the 20,070 citizens living in Martin County in 2021, 78% were old enough to vote, equating to 15,655 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 7,775 were male, constituting 49.7%, and 7,880 were female, making up 50.3%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Martin County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 76.7%.
