Litchfield Public School District secures first spot in student Reading test participation in 2021-22 school year

Litchfield Public School District ranked first in the Meeker County for test participation, with 793 students taking the Reading portion of the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment and the Minnesota Test of Academic Skills in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Minnesota Department of Education.

The number of Litchfield Public School District students taking the tests in the 2021-22 school year rose by 6.3% over the previous year.

Litchfield Public School District's students achieved an average Reading proficiency rate of 50% in 2021-22 school year.

Sixth grade students stood out with 25% of them exceeding standards in Reading, which was the highest recorded proficiency at the district.

On the other hand, fourth grade students had the most room for improvement, with 36% not meeting the expected standards.

Litchfield Public School District encompasses schools within Meeker County and has a main office in Litchfield.
