Wright Technical Center School District students performance on MCA and MTAS in 2021-22 school year?

Wright Technical Center School District ranked sixth in the Wright County for test participation, with 42 students taking the Reading portion of the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment and the Minnesota Test of Academic Skills in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Minnesota Department of Education.

The number of Wright Technical Center School District students taking the tests in the 2021-22 school year rose by 250% over the previous year.

Wright Technical Center School District's students achieved an average Reading proficiency rate of 36% in 2021-22 school year.

10th-grade students stood out with 10% of them exceeding standards in Reading, which was the highest recorded proficiency at the district.

On the other hand, 10th-grade students had the most room for improvement, with 70% not meeting the expected standards.

Wright Technical Center School District encompasses schools within Wright County and has a main office in Buffalo.

Minnesota students take the MCA annually (or the MTAS, for students with cognitive disabilities) to determine their academic readiness. Not every grade is tested each year.

Analysis from the Nation’s Report Card showed Math and Reading scores have fallen significantly in the last decade. Science scores have been steady in recent years.

Minnesota Department of Education issues could lead to data irregularities.
