Were students of Wright Technical Center School District able to meet MCA and MTAS Math testing expectations in 2021-22 school year?

Wright Technical Center School District ranked sixth in the Wright County for test participation, with 63 students taking the Math portion of the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment and the Minnesota Test of Academic Skills in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Minnesota Department of Education.

The number of Wright Technical Center School District students taking the tests in the 2021-22 school year rose by 320% over the previous year.

Wright Technical Center School District's students achieved an average Math proficiency rate of 10% in 2021-22 school year.

11th-grade students stood out with 0% of them exceeding standards in Math, which was the highest recorded proficiency at the district.

On the other hand, 11th-grade students had the most room for improvement, with 76% not meeting the expected standards.

Wright Technical Center School District encompasses schools within Wright County and has a main office in Buffalo.

Minnesota students take the MCA annually (or the MTAS, for students with cognitive disabilities) to determine their academic readiness. Not every grade is tested each year.

Analysis from the Nation’s Report Card showed Math and Reading scores have fallen significantly in the last decade. Science scores have been steady in recent years.

Minnesota Department of Education issues could lead to data irregularities.
