Maple Lake Public School District students performance on MCA and MTAS in 2021-22 school year?

Maple Lake Public School District ranked fifth in the Wright County for test participation, with 396 students taking the Math portion of the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment and the Minnesota Test of Academic Skills in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Minnesota Department of Education.

The number of Maple Lake Public School District students taking the tests in the 2021-22 school year fell by 0.3% from the previous year.

Maple Lake Public School District's students achieved an average Math proficiency rate of 54% in 2021-22 school year.

Fourth grade students stood out with 60% of them exceeding standards in Math, which was the highest recorded proficiency at the district.

On the other hand, 11th-grade students had the most room for improvement, with 32% not meeting the expected standards.

Maple Lake Public School District encompasses schools within Wright County and has a main office in Maple Lake.

Minnesota students take the MCA annually (or the MTAS, for students with cognitive disabilities) to determine their academic readiness. Not every grade is tested each year.

Analysis from the Nation’s Report Card showed Math and Reading scores have fallen significantly in the last decade. Science scores have been steady in recent years.
