798 people in their twenties in US test positive for COVID-19 during week ending September 7

There were 798 people in their twenties who in the United States tested positive for COVID-19 during the week ending September 7, according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

Out of those who provided figures, 11 individuals were hospitalized and no one was admitted to the ICU. The gender breakdown was 49 percent male and 51 percent female.

The American Academy of Pediatrics and the Children's Hospital Association stated that in the United States, children represent about 9 percent of all COVID-19 cases. The Mayo Clinic points out that children of all ages can contract COVID-19 but most don’t become as ill as adults and some show no symptoms at all.

Figures are accurate as of November 14.
