As of June 1st, the State of Minnesota will allow restaurants to open for outdoor dining under specific standards. The Buffalo City Council approved an ordinance at a special meeting this week to allow for restaurants to expand their outdoor dining locations to accommodate new standards from the State.  Regular conditional use permit requirements have been suspended and Council has authorized staff to administer permits for more space outside quickly under the rules and permit form below.  Restaurants who are interested in adding or expanding their outdoor dining space once they are permitted to open on June 1st under the State’s rules are encouraged to connect with City staff on the permit and site planning: cityoffices@ci.buffalo.mn.us
