Tom Emmer, U.S. Congressman representing Minnesota’s 6th district since 2015, has used his social media platform to criticize Democratic policies and priorities in a series of posts on October 10, 2025.

In one post, Emmer wrote, "Democrats saying they won’t reopen the government until planes start “falling out of the sky” just goes to show how dangerous they’re willing to be to prove a political point. My grandfather’s Democrat party is gone." (October 10, 2025).

Later that day, he posted another message outlining his concerns about Democratic spending proposals: "Let’s get this straight: Democrat priorities include taxpayer-funded health care for illegal aliens, adding $1.5 TRILLION in new spending, and stripping $50 billion from rural hospitals." (October 10, 2025).

Emmer also expressed appreciation for an interview opportunity with journalist Alex Marlow: "Thanks to @AlexMarlow for having me on the show. Watch the full interview below." (October 10, 2025).

Tom Emmer has served as a member of Congress since replacing Michele Bachmann in 2015 and previously held office in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011. Born in South Bend, Indiana in 1961 and currently residing in Delano at age 62, Emmer holds degrees from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks and William Mitchell College of Law.
