Walter Hudson, a Minnesota state representative, addressed themes of political discourse and religious interpretation in a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter) on September 21 and 22, 2025.

In a post dated September 21, Hudson commented on the tone of the upcoming election cycle: "This is the 2026 campaign. We're running on 'we won't dance on your grave.' 'We'll let you bury your dead without bashing them.' 'We have basic human decency.' It's sad. But that's become an actual value proposition in modern American politics."

On September 22, Hudson addressed misconceptions about Christian beliefs regarding responsibility for the death of Christ. He wrote: "People are reading way too much into this. Loony alt right nutjobs notwithstanding, real Christians do not hold Jews uniquely responsible for the death of Christ. We hold *ourselves* responsible. Every day, we all pile sin atop the burden Christ bore on the cross."

Later that same day, Hudson responded to criticism he received online by questioning readers' comprehension skills and emphasizing his stance on public safety: "Some of the comments below are utterly fascinating. Are you among the 50% of Minnesota students who can't read at grade level? That would explain why you ignore the plain meaning of my words. The social contract is non-negotiable. We will not tolerate criminals and fiends."

Hudson has served as a Republican member of the Minnesota House of Representatives since January 2023.
