Walter Hudson, a public figure and commentator, posted a series of tweets on September 19, 2025, addressing issues related to media censorship, political influence on free speech, and recent developments involving television host Jimmy Kimmel.

In his first post, Hudson referenced Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer's previous statements regarding Tucker Carlson. He wrote on September 19: "Not only did Schumer call for the censorship of Tucker Carlson back in the day. He said it was necessary 'for democracy.' So. It's 'democracy' to deplatform Carlson and an attack upon 'free speech' to fire Kimmel. See how this works?"

Later that day, Hudson commented on actions taken by the Internal Revenue Service during Barack Obama's presidency: "Obama's IRS went on a scorched earth campaign to deny or threaten the non-profit status of Tea Party groups. His administration marked the turning point in our culture from free expression to cancel culture. Mr. President, you need to sit down."

In a subsequent tweet posted minutes later, Hudson addressed reports about Jimmy Kimmel's departure from ABC: "As some were hinting last night, we now know that Jimmy Kimmel was fired after refusing instruction from ABC executives to apologize for his heinous lies. He knew, or should of known, that he was lying. Instead, he defied his bosses and planned to double-down on spreading"
