On October 13, 2025, Emmer posted about the end of a war and praised former President Donald Trump for his role in foreign affairs. In his tweet, Emmer quoted an exchange with President Biden: Reporter: “Is the war now officially over?” @POTUS: “Yes.” Joe Biden started wars, President Trump ended them! Thank you, President Trump, for restoring peace and prosperity across the globe!
The following day, on October 14, 2025, Emmer addressed a personal tragedy involving Mrs. Erika Kirk and her family. He wrote: .@MrsErikaKirk’s note from her daughter to her Dad on his birthday is heartwrenching. We will never stop fighting the evil that took Charlie’s life. On October 15, 2025, Emmer turned his attention to the issue of violence against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers. In his tweet, he stated: Mexican cartels are offering up to 50,000 to assassinate our brave ICE officers. @Tim_Walz it’s time to stop labeling our ICE officers the gestapo and condemn all forms of political violence. Tom Emmer has served in Congress since 2015 after replacing Michele Bachmann and previously held office in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011. Born in South Bend, Indiana in 1961, Emmer is 62 years old and resides in Delano. He earned a BA from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks and a JD from William Mitchell College of Law.
