Tom Emmer, U.S. Congressman representing Minnesota’s 6th district since 2015, posted a series of tweets in September 2025 recognizing the achievements and leadership within the U.S. military and government.
On September 18, Emmer marked the anniversary of the United States Air Force with a congratulatory message: "78 years of unmatched airpower. Happy birthday, @usairforce! https://t.co/WnIvKGaO0C".
The following day, he welcomed a key defense official to Capitol Hill: "Great to have @SecWar on Capitol Hill today!
No one better to restore the warrior ethos to our nation’s military. https://t.co/EZ3DXfUZaq" (September 19).
Later that same day, Emmer praised President Biden’s actions in Washington, D.C.: "What @POTUS has done in Washington, D.C. is nothing short of phenomenal.

Emmer has served in Congress since replacing Michele Bachmann in 2015 and previously was a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011. He was born in South Bend, Indiana in 1961 and currently resides in Delano. Emmer earned his BA from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks and a JD from William Mitchell College of Law.
