Walter Hudson, a Minnesota state representative, posted a series of tweets on September 11, 2025, addressing topics including deradicalization and gun ownership.

In his first post at 00:35 UTC, Hudson wrote: "Deradicalization will require an uprising of the civilized. We're going to have to ignore the name-calling and attempts at cancelation, lean in, and simply defeat the enemies of America... ... not through violence, but through indomitable vigilance and restless engagement."

Shortly after, at 00:37 UTC, he added: "I don't ignore motivations."

At 00:41 UTC on the same day, Hudson questioned criticism directed at gun owners by stating: "If it's so easy... explain it to me. How does the gun on my hip, which has killed no one and - if it does - it will be because they're trying to kill me or another, 'part of the problem?'"

Hudson’s remarks come amid ongoing national debates about political polarization and gun rights. As a Republican member of the Minnesota House of Representatives representing District 30A since January 2023, Hudson has been active in discussions related to civil liberties and public safety.
