Walter Hudson, a member of the Minnesota House Public Safety Committee, has recently posted several statements on his social media account addressing topics ranging from criminal justice to political adversaries and media coverage.

On September 9, 2025, Hudson commented on his experiences touring correctional facilities in Minnesota. He wrote, "I say this half-jokingly. But when I tour Minnesota prisons as a member of the House Public Safety Committee, I can't help but imagine my own accommodations in such a facility after I act to defend myself, my family, or a member of the public."

The following day, Hudson addressed a political opponent named Zack in another post. On September 10, 2025, he stated: "I respect Zack. He's a worthy adversary who understands how politics works. There were significantly worse choices they could have made. Tip of the hat. Gloves. Tapped."

Later that same day, Hudson criticized mainstream news coverage and expressed appreciation for alternative media platforms and social media channels that provide additional context to news stories. In his post dated September 10, 2025, he wrote: "Hilarious. As usual, the legacy media redacts all relevant context and hopes you're stupid enough to not notice. Fortunately, we have alternative media and social media to fill the void. I appreciate the @StarTribune for directing people to my posts so they can be informed."

Hudson's role as a legislator includes participation in committees related to public safety and oversight of correctional institutions in Minnesota.
