2024-25 School Year: How many students were enrolled in Meeker County schools?

There were 2,897 students enrolled in Meeker County schools in the 2024-25 school year, 1.3% more than the previous year, according to reports from the Minnesota Department of Education.

In terms of gender distribution, the student body in Meeker County comprised 54.4% boys, with girls representing the remaining 45.6%.

Data also showed that white students made up 85% of the student body, the largest percentage in Meeker County schools, followed by Hispanic students with 9.9%, 2.5% multiracial students, 1.8% American Indian students, 0.4% Black students, 0.3% Asian students and 0.1% Other Indigenous Peoples students.

Lake Ripley Elementary had the highest enrollment among Meeker County's nine schools in the 2024-25 school year, welcoming 568 students.

With more than 870,000 students enrolled, Minnesota's public school system is the 10th-largest in the United States. As of 2025 the student-to-teacher ratio in the state’s public schools is 15 to 1, on par with the national average.
