Tom Emmer, a U.S. Congressman representing Minnesota's 6th district since 2015, has shared his thoughts and prayers on recent events in Texas through a series of tweets. The following day, July 6, 2025, Emmer again took to Twitter to express gratitude that another colleague's family was unharmed by the floods. He stated: "Jacquie and I are thankful that @RepBuddyCarter’s granddaughters are safe from the horrific floods in Texas. He tweeted: "There are wins in the One Big Beautiful Bill for every single American. @POTUS’ Make America Great Again agenda that 77 million American voted for in November is now the law of the land. Our nation’s Golden Age is only just beginning."
