On May 13, 2025, Emmer expressed his appreciation for reconnecting with colleagues from the Minnesota Legislature at the Capitol. He stated that these legislators are working diligently to address issues he attributes to "years of Tim Walz and the DFL’s recklessness and mismanagement," suggesting that "Minnesotans are better off because of it."
Later that day, Emmer commented on current U.S. foreign policy under the President's leadership. He conveyed approval for what he perceives as strong international representation by quoting a statement about America's military capabilities: “We have the best weapons in the world, but we don’t want to use them..."
