Tom Emmer, a U.S. Congressman representing Minnesota's 6th district since 2015, shared his thoughts on recent political developments through a series of tweets. Emmer, who succeeded Michele Bachmann and previously served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011, continues to be an active voice in political discourse.

On May 13, 2025, Emmer expressed his appreciation for reconnecting with colleagues from the Minnesota Legislature at the Capitol. He stated that these legislators are working diligently to address issues he attributes to "years of Tim Walz and the DFL’s recklessness and mismanagement," suggesting that "Minnesotans are better off because of it."

Later that day, Emmer commented on current U.S. foreign policy under the President's leadership. He conveyed approval for what he perceives as strong international representation by quoting a statement about America's military capabilities: “We have the best weapons in the world, but we don’t want to use them..." This reflects his support for projecting strength while maintaining restraint.

In another tweet posted on May 14, 2025, Emmer critiqued Hunter Biden's art sales. He questioned their value absent Hunter's father's presidency and contrasted this with what he described as longstanding success within the Trump family prior to Donald Trump's presidency: "The Trump family was very successful long before President Trump descended down the golden..."

Emmer is currently residing in Delano and has academic credentials from both the University of Alaska-Fairbanks and William Mitchell College of Law.
