The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) said that they have linked 29 Minnesota eateries to recently reported outbreaks of COVID-19.

The Howard Lake American Legion Post 145 is among the establishments reported.

MDH officials said that an outbreak is where seven or more residents who test positive for the coronavirus said they only visited one business. That one business would be the primary factor in all the reported cases.

As of Aug. 21, 11 people that tested positive for the virus said they visited the Howard Lake American Legion. Eight of those cases said that the American Legion was the only place they visited.

Wright County Public Health posted information on its Facebook page.

“Wright County Public Health officials have confirmed that, on Thursday, the Minnesota Department of Health reported that 11 COVID-19 cases were linked to American Legion Post 145 in Howard Lake", the post read. "In the last three weeks, 54 Wright County residents diagnosed with COVID-19 reported visiting a bar or restaurant for dine-in services during their exposure period or while infectious. If you choose to visit any public establishment, please follow COVID-19 mitigation practices including masking, social distancing, and staying home if you are sick.”
