City of Delano issued the following announcement on Nov. 6.
1. River Street South (near Highway 12 River Bridge)
Work began on November 4th to begin a riverbank restoration project and install sheet piling along a short segment of failing riverbank. This project will serve two purposes: 1) Stabilize the segment of riverbank that is failing 2) Once complete, will provide additional flood protection to the area. Work is completed by Redstone Construction. Detour routes for this project include 7th Street and Railroad Avenue.
2. River Street North (Wastewater Treatment Plant/Co. Rd 30)
Starting November 11, this portion of the road will be closed to replace a culvert located within River Street North. During the closure crews will remove and replace the collapsed culvert. Work will be completed by Kuechle Underground, Inc and County Highway Maintenance Staff. Detour routes will include County Road 30 and County Line Road.
