Wright County announced on Apr. 15 that the 2026 construction season has begun, with many drivers expected to experience delays or detours due to ongoing road projects.

The county said these projects will affect travel across various routes, leading to lane closures and changes in traffic patterns. To help residents stay informed, Wright County Geographic Information Systems (GIS) has launched an interactive Highway Construction Viewer for all Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT), county, and city road projects scheduled for 2026.

The viewer provides links to project webpages along with details about the scope of work and estimated completion timelines. The county encourages drivers to use this tool to plan their routes and minimize disruptions during the construction period.

According to the announcement, “Click here to see the road project map and get the information you need for construction that will impact you.”

Officials say keeping residents updated through accessible online resources is a priority as work continues throughout the year.
