Tom Emmer, U.S. Congressman representing Minnesota’s 6th district since 2015, has recently posted a series of messages on social media addressing political endorsements, federal tax policy, and support for technological innovation.
On April 14, 2026, Emmer expressed his support for a congressional candidate in Nevada’s first district: “.@CarrieBuckforNV will be a champion for parents’ rights, military families, and our American values in Congress #NV01”.
The following day, on April 15, he commented on the federal tax refund season while addressing President Donald Trump and an unnamed recipient: “Still waiting for you to thank President @realdonaldtrump for the largest tax refund season in history. He actually cares about protecting Americans wallets, unlike the scammer you are!”
Emmer highlighted his commitment to advancing artificial intelligence innovation in an April 17 post after receiving recognition from LeadingFutureAI: “Honored to receive this recognition and support from @LeadingFutureAI. President Trump and House Republicans will keep our foot on the gas to ensure the United States remains the global LEADER and CHAMPION of AI innovation!”
Emmer has served as a member of Congress since replacing Michele Bachmann in 2015. Before his tenure in Congress, he was part of the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011. Born in South Bend, Indiana in 1961 and currently residing in Delano at age 62, Emmer holds degrees from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks (BA) and William Mitchell College of Law (JD).
