Tom Emmer, U.S. Congressman representing Minnesota’s 6th district since 2015, posted a series of messages on his social media account addressing Veterans Day, political disagreements over a government shutdown, and participation in an unspecified event.

On November 11, 2025, Emmer wrote: "On Veterans Day, we honor the brave men and women who served and sacrificed for our freedoms. Thank you for your courage and service. "

The following day, November 12, he commented on recent political disputes: "Democrats were left SPEECHLESS when asked whether or not the shutdown was worth it.

It is a DISGRACE that they lack the decency to admit they were completely in the wrong.

The left blindly makes decisions to appease the far left; they couldn't care less about doing what is"

On November 13, Emmer posted: "Glad to join!"

Emmer has represented Minnesota's 6th District in Congress since replacing Michele Bachmann in 2015. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011. Born in South Bend, Indiana in 1961 and currently residing in Delano at age 62, Emmer holds a BA from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks (1984) and a JD from William Mitchell College of Law (1988).
