Tom Emmer, U.S. Congressman representing Minnesota’s 6th district since 2015, posted a series of statements on November 5, 2025, reflecting on the anniversary of President Trump's election and commenting on current political issues.

In a post marking the one-year anniversary of President Trump’s election victory, Emmer wrote: "One year ago today, 77 million Americans voted for @POTUS’ America First agenda:

-Secure borders

-Lower taxes

-Peace through strength

-Common sense

This has been a historic year of promises made, promises kept. And President Trump is just getting started." (November 5, 2025)

Later that day, Emmer expressed support for the president's international actions by stating: "God bless President Trump for standing up and protecting Christians around the globe." (November 5, 2025)

Emmer also addressed domestic politics in another post: "Chuck Schumer shut the government down because he’s scared of his own party. It’s time for him to put politics aside and put the American people first." (November 5, 2025)

Tom Emmer has served as a member of Congress since succeeding Michele Bachmann in 2015. Before his tenure in Congress, he was part of the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011. Emmer was born in South Bend, Indiana in 1961 and currently resides in Delano. He holds a BA from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks and a JD from William Mitchell College of Law.
