Walter Hudson, a Minnesota state representative, posted a series of statements on October 19, 2025, addressing political and social issues through his X (formerly Twitter) account.

In response to a question from an individual named Elizabeth regarding the term "soft Civil War," Hudson clarified his position. On October 19, 2025, he wrote: "Elizabeth asks me: 'What exactly is a “soft” Civil War? And, why have you declared it?' I have not declared it. I've acknowledged that it has been declared on us. It's 'soft' in the sense that it's not an open persistent violent conflict, but rather an institutionally crafted".

Later that day, Hudson commented on public safety statistics in Minneapolis. At 19:02 UTC, he stated: "When people say crime is down in Minneapolis, they're referring to arbitrary numbers on paper, not actual events."

In another post at 21:40 UTC, Hudson discussed online debate dynamics and expressed frustration with how discussions are conducted. He wrote: "This thread perfectly demonstrates the debate/diagnosis dynamic. A question is asked in bad faith, with no desire to consider any answer given. The answer is given and substantiated. That substance is ignored and I'm diagnosed as the problem. So tiresome."

Walter Hudson serves as a Republican member of the Minnesota House of Representatives for District 30A.
