Tom Emmer, U.S. Congressman representing Minnesota’s 6th district since 2015, shared several posts on October 13, 2025, expressing support for President Trump and commenting on historical and current events.

In a tweet posted at 13:07 UTC, Emmer wrote, "I had the privilege of meeting Ilay during my trip to Israel this past August and hearing Evyatar’s story. Thank you, @POTUS, for reuniting this family and bringing the hostages home!"

Later that day, at 15:42 UTC, Emmer commented on Columbus Day and its significance: "When Christopher Columbus landed in the Americas in 1492, a new era began—one that would bring about the founding of our great nation. While some would like to erase Columbus from history, we join @POTUS in celebrating the brave explorer and his discovery of the New World."

At 20:00 UTC, Emmer addressed President Trump’s foreign policy record, stating, ".@POTUS promised to bring peace through strength. Not even 10 months into his term, he has delivered time and time again. No matter where you fall on the political spectrum, we can all agree that President Trump deserves recognition for this historic day."

Emmer, who succeeded Michele Bachmann in Congress and previously served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011, has a background in law and resides in Delano. He was born in South Bend, Indiana, in 1961 and holds degrees from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks and William Mitchell College of Law.
